Who are the South Wessex Waste Minimisation Group and what do we do?
- Founded in 1996, the club has more than two hundred members and is one of the country's most successful waste minimisation groups. It holds meetings quarterly at the Crown Hotel, Blandford, during which members receive presentations from other members on ‘best practice' case studies and success stories; from commercial organisations offering specialist waste services (trade slots) and from the Environment Agency on developments in waste legislation.

- Wiltshire Council have approx. 2,000 x 70 litres white hessian style bags which used to be used for collecting paper as part of the old kerbside recycling scheme. They have Kennet District Council printed on the side of them but are otherwise unused.
