The main aim of the Group is:
Demonstrate the benefits of resource efficiency through the exchange of information and experiences
- Help business achieve reductions in waste arisings through the use of waste minimisation techniques
- Provide businesses with updates on relevant legislation and raise awareness of other sources of help and information
- Grow and expand to assist all organisations

Its programme is guided by a steering group, which comprises:
Helen Toft (Chairman) is a Director of the South West Regional Assessment Centre, providing training in waste management, certificates of technical competence and WAMITAB.
Tessa Bowering (Secretary) is a Senior Environment Officer (Waste) in the Wessex Waste Audit and Compliance Team of the Environment Agency and administers the club from the Agency's Blandford office.
Gemma Coles is the Waste Reduction Manager with East Dorset District Council.
Angela Garcia is the Environment Co-ordinator with Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water Company.
Trevor Muddimer is a leading consultant in environmental, health and safety matters with Workplace Sense Ltd..
Lorraine Hubbard is Dorset Business' Resource Efficiency Project Co-coordinator and a 'lean manufacturing' expert.
Kerry Snelling is the Environmental Business Advice Coach at Business Link South West
Lucy Klinkenberg is the Environmental Manager at DST Output Ltd. who are specialist printers belonging to US owned DST Global Solutions.
Alan McInnes is the Technical Director at BVDairy who are manufacturers of specialist dairy products based in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
